About this fabric

This Bampton fabric by Colefax and Fowler is composed of 44% viscose, 40% linen, 10% cotton and 6% polyester, with an approximate width of 146cm and no repeat. The swatch shows a fine, even plain weave with visible natural slubbing and a softly mottled hand, which helps the pale stone colour feel layered rather than flat. Its beige base sits between cream and taupe, with a warm cast that catches the light gently across the cloth. With no pattern repeat and a balanced cloth construction, it is an adaptable choice for schemes that need quiet texture rather than motif.

How to use it

Use this colourway on tailored upholstery, loose covers or simple curtains where its warm stone tone can soften sharper architectural lines. It pairs especially well with oak, chalk white and deeper brown accents.

A calm neutral that works neatly across upholstery and curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
