About this fabric

This Bampton fabric from Colefax and Fowler is composed of 34% viscose, 33% cotton, 26% linen and 7% polyester, with a width of approximately 140cm and no pattern repeat. In Morton Slate Blue, the surface shows a мелange-like blend of pale stone, misty blue and grey threads, which softens the colour and keeps it from feeling flat. The linen-rich weave gives the cloth a dry, natural texture, while the viscose adds a gentler finish and a touch of light-catching subtlety. With no performance features noted and a fire code of √BM, it suits considered domestic interiors where a calm, smart colour is wanted.

How to use it

Use this slate-blue neutral on a tailored armchair, roman blind or lined curtains where the cool tone can sit quietly against oak, chalky paint or brushed metal. Its restrained depth makes it especially good for rooms that need colour without losing the light, airy feel.

A quietly tailored neutral-blue that works beautifully on both upholstery and curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
