Sonvida Steel

Palma Collection FabricSONVIDA

Sonvida Steel shows a compact diamond lattice in softly weathered blue-grey and cream. The repeat feels neat and ordered, with a small-scale rhythm that reads smart rather than bold.

About this fabric

Woven in Spain from 85% cotton and 15% linen, Sonvida Steel is specified for severe contract upholstery and drapes, making it a practical choice as well as a decorative one. The design has a traditional geometric character, with small linked diamonds outlined in cool steel blue against a pale ground. Its 17.5 cm vertical repeat and 10 cm horizontal repeat create a tight, balanced pattern that feels crisp from a distance and more textural up close. At 45,000 rubs and 140 cm wide, it has the substance expected of a sturdy furnishing fabric, while the cotton-linen blend keeps the handle looking natural rather than glossy.

How to use it

The restrained steel-blue palette works well on a sofa, dining chair, or Roman blind where you want pattern without heavy contrast. Pair it with chalk white, pale oak, or deeper navy accents to sharpen the traditional feel.

Use to bring a tailored, quietly traditional look to upholstery or drapery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Sonvida Steel without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
