About this fabric

This colourway reads as a muted blue with a grey cast, so the overall effect is cool, calm and lightly weathered. As a velvet in 56% viscose and 44% cotton, it has the smooth, light-catching surface you expect from a fabric that sits comfortably on upholstery, while the 140cm approx width gives useful coverage for larger projects. The repeat is V 0cm / H 0cm approx, so it presents as a plain ground rather than a patterned fabric. Its soft surface breaks the colour into subtle variations, making the slate tone feel layered and slightly faded at the edges.

How to use it

Use Cosima Slate on a chair, headboard or bench where the gentle sheen can sit beside oak, limestone or brushed metal. The cool blue-grey works especially well in schemes that need colour without brightness, giving depth to neutral rooms.
