About this fabric

This colourway has the restrained, even appearance of a plain velvet, with barely-there nap movement that gives the surface a subtle, light-catching softness. Cosima Velvet II in Cosima Pearl is composed of 56% viscose and 44% cotton, with a width of approximately 140cm and no repeat to consider, making it straightforward to work with on tailored schemes. The tone sits between cream and ivory, with a faint warm blush that keeps it from feeling cold or chalky. It has the kind of quiet lustre that suits refined seating, cushions and occasional upholstery where a pale finish is wanted without looking flat. Care code Q 8 < T 3 and fire code √CM are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use this pearl shade to brighten compact seating or to soften a room anchored by oak, stone or aged brass. Its warm ivory tone works especially well with layered neutrals, dove grey and muted taupe.

A luminous neutral that softens modern upholstery and layers easily with warmer woods.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
