About this fabric

This colourway has the plush, lightly brushed look expected of a velvet, with subtle tonal movement that catches the light across the pile. The ochre shade sits between gold and earthy mustard, so it feels warm rather than bright, and the surface shows a mellow depth instead of a flat solid colour. It is 140cm wide approx and made from 56% viscose, 44% cotton, with a repeat of V 0cm / H 0cm approx, so the appeal lies in the texture and colour rather than a recurring motif. The overall effect is smart and grounded, making the fabric feel substantial without looking heavy.

How to use it

Use Cosima Ochre on an accent chair, sofa cushions or a headboard where its warm sheen can lift walnut, oak or painted dark wood. It also works well with tobacco leather, deep green accents and pared-back neutrals.
