About this fabric

The hessian/shiitake ground reads as a warm, weathered ochre-beige, while the ivory botanical marks bring a noticeably lighter contrast across the surface. Fine grey-taupe stems and scattered foliage add a layered, softly varied quality between the pale flowers. At 487gsm with 41 threads per cm, this is a substantial, closely woven textile suited to upholstery. The pattern repeats 38cm vertically and 43cm horizontally across its 131cm usable width, with a 35m standard length.

How to use it

Use this warm ochre colourway on a statement armchair, sofa or dining seat, balancing its ivory florals with chalky neutrals, natural wood and softly aged brass. The muted base also works well where a golden tone is wanted without the brightness of a saturated yellow.

Use this substantial ochre botanical for upholstered seating, where the ivory floral detail can be appreciated at close range.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
