Bronte Ochre

Darwin Collection FabricBRONTE

Bronte Ochre is a plain woven fabric with a softly textured surface and a warm, muted golden-ochre appearance. The colour reads grounded and mellow rather than bright, giving the cloth an easy, sun-baked richness.

About this fabric

Part of the Darwin Collection by Ashley Wilde, Bronte Ochre is composed of 68% Recycled Polyester and 32% Polyester, with a width of 140cm and a substantial 448 grams per linear metre. It is specified for drapes only, which suits the fluid, textile-led feel visible in the swatch and the neat, low-key weave. The surface has a fine crosshatched texture that softens the colour, letting the ochre tone settle into a calm, earthy gold. With no pattern repeat and a plain style, it works as a quietly characterful cloth rather than a decorative statement. Manufactured in India, it has a substantial 320 grams per square metre for a fuller curtain finish.

How to use it

Use Bronte Ochre for curtains that need warmth without heaviness, especially alongside timber, stone, or neutral upholstery. Its muted gold tone adds depth to cream, taupe, and olive schemes while staying restrained and elegant.

A warm ochre tone that brings gentle richness to relaxed schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
