Burman Gold
Essential Weaves Vol 1 FabricEWV1BURMAN
Burman Gold shows a soft, warm gold ground with a fine diamond lattice woven across the surface. The overall effect is understated and bright, with a gentle sheen that lifts the texture rather than shouting for attention.

About this fabric
From Ashley Wilde’s Essential Weaves Vol 1, Burman Gold is a 100% polyester fabric made for drapes only. The small-scale geometric weave has a neat 2 cm vertical and horizontal repeat, creating a tightly ordered diamond pattern that reads clearly without feeling busy. At 140 cm wide and 226 gsm, it has enough substance for a smart window treatment while still looking light and refined. The colour is a mellow gold with creamy undertones, so it feels warmer than a pale beige and softer than a strong metallic.
How to use it
Use this shade where you want a sunny but restrained finish, especially with pale timber, chalky paint colours or natural linen. Its soft gold tone works well in rooms that need warmth and a little quiet pattern at the window.
A quietly elegant gold that adds warmth without overpowering a room.

Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Burman Gold without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.
Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
