Cosima Olive
Cosima Velvet II VelvetF4625-19
Cosima Olive is a plush velvet with a dark, weathered olive tone that reads richly muted rather than bright. The pile catches the light unevenly, giving the surface a shadowy depth and a slightly brushed, tactile look.

About this fabric
From the Cosima Velvet II collection by Colefax and Fowler, this velvet is composed of 56% viscose and 44% cotton and is offered at approximately 140cm wide. The swatch shows a deep mossy olive with brown-black undertones, so the colour feels grounded and atmospheric rather than fresh or yellow-green. Its plain, no-repeat structure keeps the focus on the sheen and pile movement across the surface. With the fire code √CM and care code Q 8 < T 3 noted, it is a strong choice where a luxurious handle and a subdued, characterful colour are wanted.
How to use it
Use this olive velvet on a sofa, armchair or ottoman where its low-lit sheen can add depth to timber and leather. It also works well against cream walls, antique brass and darker woods for a cocooning, tailored room scheme.
Pair with oak, aged brass and soft neutrals to let the rich olive pile glow.

Pairs well with
Cosima Olive is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
