About this fabric

This is a substantial 693gsm velvet with a dense, tactile surface suited to upholstery applications. The 139.5cm usable width carries an all-over abstract pattern with a 41.5cm vertical repeat and 34.5cm horizontal repeat, allowing the interlocking forms to read continuously across a piece. Olive, muted teal-green and ochre tones create a cool, mineral base with flashes of warmth in the pattern outlines. At 97 threads per centimetre, the closely woven ground supports the intricate, small-to-medium organic motif without losing its softly mottled appearance.

How to use it

Use Molten Moldavite/Emerald to upholster a reading chair, curved sofa or footstool where its moss-green depth can be seen up close. Balance the ochre accents with walnut, dark bronze or aged brass, and keep surrounding textiles quietly tonal.
