About this fabric
The dense 732gsm handle is well suited to upholstery, while the 86 threads per centimetre create a closely worked surface with visible tonal depth. Narrow vertical lines ripple across the velvet, giving the dark blue colourway movement without introducing a bold motif. The supplied pattern repeat is 1.5cm vertically and 1cm horizontally, consistent with the small-scale texture visible across the swatch. With a 140cm usable width and a standard 30m length, Karst Midnight offers practical coverage for substantial upholstered pieces.
How to use it
Pair this cool, almost black-blue velvet with pale oak, smoked timber or warm neutral upholstery to balance its depth. Its subtle teal cast also works well with aged brass and low, atmospheric lighting.
Use this deep, cool blue velvet on a statement chair, sofa or headboard where its fine vertical texture can catch the light.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
