Dolmens Velvet Sandstone

Defined Momentum Velvets VelvetHAF0634-04

Dolmens Velvet Sandstone pairs a warm sandstone-beige velvet ground with fine ivory lines arranged as irregular bars, angles and open geometric marks. The pale motif stands clearly against the softly textured pile without making the colourway feel stark.

About this fabric

The warm beige ground has a muted, earthy depth, while the ivory linear pattern creates a crisp hand-drawn contrast across the surface. As a velvet weighing 753 gsm, it has a substantial handle and a pronounced upholstery presence. Its usable width is 141 cm, with a 43 cm vertical repeat and 35.5 cm horizontal repeat for considered pattern placement across upholstered panels. The fabric is supplied in a standard 30 m length and has 192 threads per cm; no performance features are noted in the supplied specification.

How to use it

Use this sandstone colourway on a deep buttoned chair, tailored sofa or upholstered headboard, where its warm neutral ground can soften the ivory geometry. Pair it with chalky whites, natural timber and darker taupe accents to draw out its earthy depth.

A weighty sandstone velvet with ivory linear geometry for tailored upholstery and softly textured seating.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Dolmens Velvet Sandstone without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
