Izumi Hessian/Sandstone

Colour 4 Fabrics FabricHAF0494-03

Izumi Hessian/Sandstone combines a softly warm hessian ground with angular sandstone lines that interlock across the woven surface. Its gently tonal palette keeps the geometric pattern expressive without becoming stark.

About this fabric

The pale hessian background has a natural, linen-like warmth, while the sandstone motif shifts subtly in depth as the weave catches the light. Irregular angular lines form a repeating geometric arrangement with a 25 cm vertical repeat and 34 cm horizontal repeat. At 250 gsm and 166 threads per cm, the fabric has a closely woven, substantial mid-weight handle suited to both upholstery and drapery. It is supplied at a 138 cm usable width, with a standard length of 35 m.

How to use it

Use this warm hessian-and-sandstone colourway on a tailored armchair, bench or roman blind, pairing it with deeper camel, chalk or muted olive accents. The low-contrast geometry works particularly well where you want pattern with a calm, sun-warmed feel.

Use the warm hessian ground and sandstone geometry to add measured pattern to upholstery, cushions or curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Izumi Hessian/Sandstone without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
