About this fabric

The visible design is formed from fine, irregular lines that rise and fall in overlapping wave-like paths across the cloth, creating a medium-scale pattern with subtle depth. Its silver-grey colourway reads cool and softly muted rather than bright, with the darker lines giving definition without strong contrast. At 312gsm and 27 threads per centimetre, this is a substantial woven fabric suited to both upholstery and drapery. It has a 135cm usable width, a 32cm vertical repeat and a 22cm horizontal repeat, with a standard length of 30m.

How to use it

Pair Formation Silver with pale grey, chalk or cool stone upholstery for a layered tonal scheme, or use it on curtains where the continuous contour lines can create a softly animated fall. Its restrained silver tone also works well with darker graphite accents for a sharper, more architectural room.

Use the cool silver-grey ground and fine contour pattern to bring quiet movement to upholstery or full-length curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
