About this fabric

The repeating motif is formed from angular, overlapping shapes that resemble folded planes or linked cartographic fragments, worked in soft grey-blue tones. At 372 gsm with 112 threads per cm, the cloth has a substantial woven presence suited to upholstery. Its usable width is 137 cm, and the pattern repeats every 23.5 cm vertically and 27.4 cm horizontally. The low-contrast palette keeps the geometry refined, while the brushed-looking variation within the weave prevents the pale surface from appearing flat.

How to use it

Pair this icy blue-grey colourway with chalky whites, cool stone and pale timber for a calm, architectural scheme. It would give a sofa, headboard or occasional chair quiet pattern and tactile definition without introducing a strong saturated accent.

Use this cool blue-grey geometric upholstery to bring quiet structure and layered texture to contemporary seating.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Cartography Storm without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
