Colour 4 Fabrics FabricHAF0494-02

Izumi Temple Grey/Diffused Light pairs a soft, almost chalky grey ground with angular, interlocking lines in a lighter shade. The close-up shows a gently textured cloth whose pale tones keep the geometric design quiet rather than stark.

About this fabric

The irregular stepped motif is formed from pale grey lines over a diffused white-grey background, creating a cool, low-contrast surface with subtle movement. At 250 gsm and 138 cm usable width, this textile has a versatile mid-weight suited to both upholstery and drapery. Its pattern repeats vertically over 25 cm and horizontally over 34 cm, giving the angular design a clear but not oversized presence. A specification of 166 threads per cm is consistent with the finely detailed, closely woven appearance visible in the swatch.

How to use it

Use this cool Temple Grey colourway to soften a contemporary chair, headboard or sofa, or carry it through full-length curtains where its pale ground can catch natural light. Pair it with warm timber and off-white upholstery to prevent the grey from feeling stark, or use charcoal accents to sharpen the geometric lines.

A cool, light-reflective geometric textile that brings quiet structure to upholstery, curtains and blinds.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
