Karst Tourmaline
Defined Momentum Velvets VelvetHAF0638-01
Karst Tourmaline is a warm ochre-caramel velvet with closely spaced vertical lines that give the surface a finely ribbed appearance. Its softly shifting sheen brings depth to the earthy brown tone as the light moves across the pile.

About this fabric
This Harlequin Defined Momentum Velvet has a substantial 732gsm weight and a 140cm usable width, making it particularly suitable for upholstered furniture. The face is visually dense, with narrow vertical channels and subtle tonal variation rather than a bold printed motif. Its 1.5cm vertical and 1cm horizontal pattern repeats keep the texture discreet and easy to position across a piece. The warm caramel-brown shade reads grounded and inviting, while the velvet surface adds a gentle, polished glow.
How to use it
Use Karst Tourmaline on a tailored armchair, sofa or headboard where its warm ochre-brown tone can anchor cream, tobacco and dark timber finishes. The fine vertical texture adds interest without competing with patterned cushions or decorative woodwork.
A weighty caramel-brown velvet with fine vertical ribbing, well suited to tailored upholstery and statement seating.

Pairs well with
Karst Tourmaline is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
