About this fabric

The blue-grey tone reads distinctly cool, with darker and lighter threads running through the narrow vertical texture rather than a flat, uniform colour. Light catches the velvet pile in slim vertical highlights, giving the swatch a gently dimensional finish. At 732 gsm, it is a substantial velvet with an 86 threads-per-centimetre construction, well suited to upholstery. The pattern repeat is restrained at 1.5 cm vertically and 1 cm horizontally, while the usable width is 140 cm.

How to use it

Use Karst Sky on a tailored armchair, sofa or headboard where its cool blue-grey tone can balance warm timber, pale stone and brushed metal. Pair it with quiet blue, charcoal or softened cream textiles to draw out the fine vertical rhythm without competing with it.

A cool blue-grey velvet with fine vertical texture, suited to upholstered seating where its dense surface can add quiet depth.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
