Dolmens Velvet Midnight

Defined Momentum Velvets VelvetHAF0634-05

Dolmens Velvet Midnight pairs a deep, cool midnight-blue ground with irregular ivory lines that form a crisp, abstract geometric rhythm. The velvet surface gives the dark colour subtle tonal depth as the pile catches the light.

About this fabric

This is a substantial 753 gsm velvet with 192 threads per cm, giving the cloth a dense, weighty presence suited to upholstery. Against the midnight-blue ground, angular cream strokes, short bars and intersecting lines create a medium-scale graphic pattern with a hand-drawn feel. The 43 cm vertical repeat and 35.5 cm horizontal repeat make the motif clearly visible across a chair, headboard or sofa panel. Its 141 cm usable width supports practical upholstery planning, while the 30 m standard length suits larger schemes.

How to use it

Use the cool midnight tone to anchor a reading chair, banquette or statement sofa, then repeat the ivory linework through pale stone, chalk or brushed-metal accents. The dark velvet also works well with warm walnut, where the graphic motif feels more architectural than stark.

Use this weighty midnight velvet on statement upholstery, pairing its ivory linework with warm timber or brushed metal.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
