Omega Velvet 4 Midnight is a deep, inky blue velvet with a smooth, low-sheen finish that catches the light softly. Its colour reads almost navy-black at first glance, with just enough blue in the pile to keep it feeling rich rather than flat.

About this fabric

This plain velvet has a dense, even surface and the photographed swatch shows a very dark midnight tone with subtle tonal movement where the pile lifts the light. The collection is specified for curtains, loose cover upholstery and fixed upholstery, and this colourway’s depth makes it especially suited to cocooning interiors. With a Martindale rub test of 100,000 and upholstery grade noted as Contract and General Domestic, it is built for demanding seating as well as dressed windows. The composition of 60% Polyester, 28% Recycled Polyester, 8% Acrylic and 4% Viscose helps give the fabric its smooth handle and resilient finish. It is 137cm wide and supplied by the metre, with plain pattern repeat and aftercare including dry clean and a delicate 30°C wash.

How to use it

Use Midnight on a sofa, bench or headboard when you want a near-neutral dark blue that still feels luxurious. It also works well as floor-to-ceiling curtains where the deep shade can anchor paler walls and metal finishes.
