About this fabric

Woven in a velvet construction with a plain appearance and an approx. width of 137cm, this colourway is designed for curtains, loose cover upholstery and fixed upholstery. Its 100,000 Martindale rub test and contract/general domestic upholstery grade make it a durable choice for high-use pieces. The 60% polyester, 28% recycled polyester, 8% acrylic and 4% viscose composition helps deliver the soft, dense handle visible in the swatch, while the stain resistant finish and BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1 compliance add practical reassurance. In Maize, the pile catches the light with a mellow golden sheen that feels warmer and more grounded than a pale yellow, but less heavy than ochre.

How to use it

Use this maize velvet to warm up walnut, oak or painted timber, or to add a glow to a neutral scheme with stone, linen and brushed brass. It works especially well on compact upholstery pieces, banquettes and structured curtains where the colour can read as a rich focal point.
