About this fabric

This plain velvet has the dense, even surface you’d expect from an upholstery fabric, with a subtle directional sheen that deepens the green as it moves across the light. The shade is a medium leaf green with a cool-leaning freshness, softened by the velvet pile so it feels rich rather than sharp. It is woven in 60% Polyester, 28% Recycled Polyester, 8% Acrylic and 4% Viscose, with a 100,000 Martindale rub test and upholstery grading for Contract and General Domestic use. The 137cm width and plain repeat make it practical for larger pieces, while the A FR rating to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1 supports residential and contract schemes. It is suitable for curtains, loose covers and fixed upholstery, and should be washed with care at 30C or dry cleaned.

How to use it

Use this leaf green to add depth to a sofa, banquette or headboard, where the velvet pile can show its tonal movement. It also makes a striking curtain colour in rooms with natural timber, brass or painted neutral walls.
