About this fabric

This plain velvet has a dense, softly brushed surface that reads rich and even across the cloth, with the pile catching the light to reveal subtle tonal movement. The lagoon shade feels cool and grounded, with enough depth to work as a statement without becoming loud. It is made from 60% polyester, 28% recycled polyester, 8% acrylic and 4% viscose, and comes in a 137cm width. With a Martindale rub test of 100,000 and upholstery grades for contract and general domestic use, it is well suited to fixed or loose cover upholstery as well as curtains. Care includes dry clean, a delicate 30°C wash, dry line and no ironing or tumble drying.

How to use it

Use Lagoon on an armchair, sofa or ottoman to bring a polished teal note into schemes with walnut, brass or pale stone. It also makes strong curtains where the saturated colour can frame a room without feeling too dark.

A rich teal velvet that adds depth and polish to tailored seating or drapes.
