About this fabric

This plain velvet has the plush look you can see in the image, with light sinking into the pile and lifting the tone at the nap for a subtle, directional sheen. The marine blue colourway sits between teal and deep navy, so it feels cooler and more grounded than a brighter peacock shade. It is made from 60% polyester, 28% recycled polyester, 8% acrylic and 4% viscose, and is suitable for Curtains, Loose Cover Upholstery and Fixed Upholstery. With a 100,000 Martindale rub test and an upholstery grade of Contract, General Domestic, it is a practical choice where you want a rich colour and a hard-wearing finish. The 137cm width and plain repeat make it straightforward to use across larger furniture pieces or full-length drapes.

How to use it

Use this marine blue on a tailored sofa, dining chairs or a paneled curtain for a room with brass, walnut or pale stone. The cooler teal depth works especially well in schemes that need colour without losing a smart, composed feel.
