About this fabric

This colourway has the dense, even pile you expect from a velvet, with a clean surface that catches the light and shifts subtly across the face of the cloth. In Mantis, the green is bright yet grounded, leaning toward a deep botanical tone rather than a neon shade. It is specified for curtains, loose cover upholstery and fixed upholstery, and the 137cm width makes it practical for a wide range of projects. The fabric is contract and general domestic grade, with a Martindale rub test of 100,000 and BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1 compliance, so it balances decorative impact with serious durability.

How to use it

Use Mantis to add a confident splash of colour against walnut, oak or dark painted joinery, where the green can look especially rich. It works well on a neatly tailored armchair, bench cushion or full-length curtain when you want a room to feel more layered and luxurious.
