About this fabric

This colourway shows a rich lipstick red with a slightly deep, wine-toned cast, so it feels confident and luxurious rather than brash. The plain velvet pile gives the surface a smooth, even appearance with gentle shading where the light moves across it. Made from 60% Polyester, 28% Recycled Polyester, 8% Acrylic and 4% Viscose, it is specified for curtains, loose cover upholstery and fixed upholstery. With a 137cm width, a Martindale rub test of 100,000, and FR compliance to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1, it is well suited to both domestic and contract use. Care is straightforward but careful: dry clean, or wash with care at 30C, and avoid ironing or tumble drying.

How to use it

Use this red velvet on a statement chair, banquette or curtain to bring warmth and focus into a room. It pairs especially well with dark timber, brass and softened neutrals, which let the colour stay rich and balanced.
