About this fabric

This heavy 580gsm fabric has the dense, plush appearance of crushed velvet, making it particularly well suited to upholstery. Its crimson tone reads deep and intense rather than softly muted, while the black areas form organic, smoke-like shadows across the surface. With a useable width of 140 cm, it offers a substantial format for seating and upholstered panels. The 0 cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeats confirm that the visual effect comes from the non-directional crushed texture rather than a repeating motif.

How to use it

Use Crush Crimson on a feature armchair, headboard or sofa where its saturated red depth can act as the room’s focal point. Pair it with blackened metal, dark timber or warm neutral walls to pick up the contrasting shadow tones.

Use this richly saturated crimson upholstery to bring dramatic depth to statement seating and occasional chairs.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Crush Crimson without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
