About this fabric

This heavy 580gsm fabric is well suited to upholstery, with a visibly textured surface that catches lighter purple highlights around the darker, almost ink-black motifs. The design is abstract and painterly, combining blurred violet areas with scattered raised-looking marks for a richly uneven finish. It has a 140 cm usable width and a standard length of 30 m. Both the vertical and horizontal pattern repeats are 0 cm, allowing the organic markings to be positioned freely without matching a repeat.

How to use it

Use Crush Grape to bring saturated, cool purple depth to an accent chair, headboard or upholstered sofa, balancing its dark markings with smoked timber, black details and softer lilac or neutral textiles. The expressive surface works especially well where the fabric can be seen close up.
