About this fabric

At 421gsm, Baker Heather has the substantial visual presence suited to upholstery, while its softly mottled surface keeps the overall effect understated. The heathered mauve is tempered with beige-taupe and subtle deeper plum traces, creating a muted colourway that reads warm in the image rather than bright or cool. Irregular vertical texturing catches the light across the face, producing a lightly brushed, almost mineral-like depth. The fabric has a 138cm usable width and a pattern repeat of 29cm vertically by 35cm horizontally.

How to use it

Use Baker Heather on a statement armchair, headboard or tailored sofa where its dusty mauve-taupe tone can sit comfortably with warm neutrals, aged timber and brushed metal. Pair it with pale stone or oatmeal textiles to draw out the lighter flecks in the surface.

Use this softly mottled mauve-taupe upholstery to add depth without introducing a bold motif.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
