About this fabric

This colourway has a muted iris-violet depth that sits between plum and charcoal, with the light catching a subtle sheen across the surface. It is a plain fabric in 100% polyester, made in India, and specified for severe contract upholstery and drapes, so it brings together practical performance with a refined look. The cloth is 140cm wide and carries a 50,000 severe contract rub test, making it suitable for hard-working seating as well as tailored curtains. At 455gsm and 325gsm, it has enough body to hold shape while still reading smooth and elegant rather than heavy or bulky.

How to use it

Use Galaxy Iris where you want a darker purple that feels sophisticated rather than bright; it works well on clean-lined upholstery, or as curtains that settle into a moody, cocooning backdrop. Pair it with pale neutrals or brushed metallics to let the restrained sheen show through.
