About this fabric

This colourway sits in a dark aubergine range, with plum and wine undertones that make the surface feel warm and enveloping. The visible texture has a brushed, almost crushed-velvet look, so the shade shifts between near-black shadow and softer purple highlights as the light moves across it. Made from 100% polyester and supplied at 140cm wide, it is a practical fabric format for tailored seating schemes where a luxurious look is wanted without pattern. With no pattern repeat, the emphasis stays on the tactile finish and the tonal variation in the pile.

How to use it

Use this aubergine tone on an armchair, banquette or occasional sofa to bring a dramatic, cocooning note into a room. It works especially well with warm brass, walnut and soft ivory, where the depth of the purple can stand out without feeling harsh.
