About this fabric

This colourway shows a restrained heathered plum with warmer berry notes, broken up by fine vertical striations in the weave. The 50% polyester, 24% cotton, 12% viscose and 14% linen composition helps explain the slightly textured, natural-looking surface visible in the swatch. With a 140cm width and no pattern repeat, it suits clean cutting for fitted upholstery pieces as well as tailored curtains. The overall effect is soft and understated, with enough variation in the weave to keep the shade from reading flat.

How to use it

Pair this muted plum with pale oak, brushed brass and chalky neutrals to let the colour stay sophisticated rather than heavy. It also works well with deeper berry accents or soft grey upholstery for a layered, relaxed room.

Use it for upholstery or curtains when you want a muted plum with a softly weathered finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
