Kensington Mulberry

Brodsworth Fabric

Kensington Mulberry is a deep, wine-toned plain with a softly brushed-looking texture that reads dark and moody on the surface. The colour shifts between plum, burgundy and brown as the light moves across it.

About this fabric

This colourway from the Brodsworth collection is made from 100% polyester and has a width of 140cm, with a 0cm pattern repeat for easy cutting. The swatch shows a dense, low-contrast surface with a subtle striated texture rather than a flat solid, giving the mulberry shade extra depth. Its dark plum base is warmed by brown undertones, so it feels richer and more grounded than a brighter purple. The finish catches light gently, which helps the fabric look substantial and softly tailored rather than shiny.

How to use it

Use this mulberry tone on an armchair, sofa or headboard where you want a saturated colour that still feels restrained. It pairs especially well with warm woods, antique brass and velvet-like layered neutrals.

A rich, dark plum that adds depth and warmth to tailored seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
