About this fabric

This colourway has a restrained, linen-like taupe base warmed by an olive undertone, giving the velvet a grounded and quietly sophisticated look. The pile catches the light with a gentle, even lustre rather than a high shine, so the surface feels plush without looking glossy. Supplied at 137cm wide and suitable for curtains, loose cover upholstery and fixed upholstery, it is backed by a 100,000 Martindale rub test and a contract/general domestic upholstery grade. The composition of 60% polyester, 28% recycled polyester, 8% acrylic and 4% viscose helps explain its smooth handle and practical performance, while the plain finish keeps the focus on colour and texture. Its FR rating conforms to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1.

How to use it

Use this shade on a tailored sofa, a statement armchair or full-length curtains where its muted green-brown tone can soften stone, oak and aged brass. It works especially well in schemes that need warmth without introducing a strong colour.

A versatile mid-tone velvet that brings quiet warmth to upholstery and elegant drapes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
