Tome Hemp reads as a warm taupe cloth with a gently striated, almost linen-like surface. The small-scale horizontal texture gives it a calm, softly tailored look.

About this fabric

Tome Hemp from Larsen is woven in 61% viscose, 32% cotton and 7% polyester, with an approximate width of 138cm and a repeat of V 28cm / H 34cm. In this colourway, the ground sits in a muted hemp taupe with pale stoney highlights running through the weave, which softens the pattern and keeps it easy to live with. The finish has a dry, tactile character rather than a glossy one, so the surface reads understated and refined. It is a versatile fabric for upholstery or drapery where a textured, low-contrast look is wanted. The √CM fire code is also noted for this cloth.

How to use it

Use it on a clean-lined sofa, banquette or headboard where the warm taupe texture can add depth without overpowering the room. It works particularly well with chalk whites, natural oak and brushed bronze details.

Pairs easily with oak, stone and muted metallics for a calm, tailored finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
