Tome Wood

Tome FabricL9494-04

Tome Wood is a richly layered brown with a softly striated surface that gives the colourway real depth. The horizontal texture in the weave catches the light in warm cocoa and chestnut tones.

About this fabric

This Larsen fabric is composed of 61% viscose, 32% cotton and 7% polyester, with a width of approximately 138cm and a repeat of V 28cm / H 34cm approx. The finish reads as a warm, dark cocoa brown, broken by lighter thread movement that creates a subtle bark-like strié across the cloth. That slight lustre from the viscose keeps the surface from looking flat, while the cotton adds a more grounded, textile feel. It has enough presence for tailored upholstery or full-length curtains where the woven texture can be appreciated.

How to use it

Use Tome Wood on an armchair, banquette or relaxed curtains where its warm brown striation can sit comfortably against oak, tobacco leather and cream paintwork. It brings depth to schemes that need a darker neutral without feeling harsh.

Pair it with walnut timber and warm neutrals to echo its layered, tactile depth.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
