Biot Silex

Biot FabricM4027-04

Biot Silex is a quietly textured neutral with a stone-taupe cast and a finely woven surface. The small-scale weave gives the colourway a soft, dappled depth rather than a flat finish.

About this fabric

Biot Silex from Manuel Canovas is a 138cm-wide fabric woven in 40% viscose, 30% linen, 26% cotton and 4% polyester. The close, pebbled weave reads as a muted taupe with cooler grey notes and a gentle warmth underneath, creating a calm, grounded look. Its surface has enough texture to catch the light softly, which helps the colour appear subtly mottled across the cloth. With no visible repeat, the design feels restrained and versatile, suitable where texture matters more than pattern.

How to use it

Use this soft stone tone for tailored upholstery, roman blinds or relaxed curtains where a low-contrast neutral is needed. It works especially well with oak, chalk white and darker bronze accents for a layered, understated scheme.

A calm neutral that brings texture and depth without competing with other finishes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
