Manuel Canovas

Iris Ficelle

Iris FabricM4084-05

Iris Ficelle reads as a quiet, softly striated neutral with a warm beige-taupe cast. Its fine horizontal texture gives the surface a gentle linear rhythm rather than a flat finish.

About this fabric

This Manuel Canovas fabric is composed of 80% cotton and 20% polyester, with a width of approximately 138cm and a repeat of V 0cm / H 0cm approx. The colourway is a muted ficelle tone: a soft beige taupe with a restrained warmth that feels dry, natural and slightly heathered in the light. The close weave shows fine horizontal ribbing across the surface, adding subtle depth without introducing a pattern. With its balanced cotton-polyester blend and understated finish, it sits comfortably in the smart end of the neutral spectrum.

How to use it

Use Iris Ficelle for neatly tailored upholstery, roman blinds or relaxed curtains where you want a warm neutral that won’t overpower other materials. It pairs especially well with oak, limestone and darker timber tones, letting the fabric’s delicate texture do the work.

A calm neutral that works beautifully as tailored upholstery or soft drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
