Iris Coquelicot

Iris FabricM4084-17

Iris Coquelicot is a vivid, peppery red with a subtle woven shimmer and fine horizontal striation across the surface. The colour reads as warm and saturated, with lighter flickers that keep the cloth from feeling flat.

About this fabric

This Manuel Canovas fabric is composed of 80% cotton and 20% polyester, and it is supplied at approximately 138cm wide. The design has no vertical or horizontal repeat, which suits a clean, uninterrupted make-up in either upholstery or drapery. Visually, the cloth shows a finely ribbed weave with tonal movement that shifts between deep scarlet and coquelicot orange-red as the light catches it. The overall effect is rich and lively rather than dark, giving the surface a polished, textural depth. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use this red in rooms that need warmth and energy, especially against timber, bronze, or deep neutral finishes. It works particularly well where the colour can read as a glowing accent rather than a large flat block.

Use as a rich statement fabric that brings a warm, saturated glow to tailored upholstery or elegant drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
