Manuel Canovas

Iris Celadon

Iris FabricM4084-29

Iris in Celadon is a quietly luminous plain with a fine horizontal striation visible across the surface. The colour sits in a soft celadon green, cooled with a hint of grey and lifted by a subtle matte sheen.

About this fabric

This Manuel Canovas fabric is composed of 80% cotton and 20% polyester, with a width of approximately 138cm and a repeat of V 0cm / H 0cm approx. The weave reads as compact and finely ribbed, giving the cloth a gentle sense of movement without introducing a pattern. In this colourway, the green is muted and airy rather than saturated, so it feels fresh without becoming bright. The surface catches light softly, which helps the celadon tone look slightly deeper in shadow and paler on the raised threads.

How to use it

Use this celadon shade on a tailored armchair, banquette, or Roman blind where its calm green-grey tone can soften a room. It pairs especially well with pale oak, chalky white, and warmer neutrals that let the colour stay quiet and elegant.

A calm celadon that works beautifully across upholstery and relaxed curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
