Appledore Check Leaf

Appledore FabricF4140-06

Appledore Check Leaf shows a calm, country-led gingham in softened leaf green and warm natural ground. The check reads fresh rather than bright, with a slightly washed, linen-rich look that keeps it easy to live with.

About this fabric

Woven from 60% linen and 40% viscose, this fabric has the dry, lightly slubbed character you can see in the cloth, balanced by the smoother sheen of viscose that lifts the pale stripes. The check is set on an approx. 18cm vertical by 15cm horizontal repeat, creating a medium-scale pattern that feels orderly without looking sharp. At 140cm wide, it is a useful cloth for both upholstery and drapery, depending on the make-up and room scheme. The leaf green colourway is muted and earthy, with cream-toned intersections that soften the contrast and give the design a gentle, tailored finish.

How to use it

Use it on a pair of upholstered dining chairs, a headboard or relaxed curtains where the soft moss tone can sit alongside oak, painted joinery and warm neutrals. It works especially well in rooms that want a country check with a quieter, more aged green note.

A softly graded check that brings quiet country character to tailored interiors.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Appledore Check Leaf without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
