Artichoke Leaf Green

Ashdown FabricF4836-01

This Artichoke Leaf Green colourway shows a painterly botanical trail in fresh green tones against a pale ground. The motifs read airy and elegant, with the leafy forms spaced to give the design a calm, decorative rhythm.

About this fabric

Ashdown in Artichoke Leaf Green is a 100% linen fabric with a repeat of approximately V 40cm / H 67cm and a width of approximately 134cm. The visible finish is light and dry rather than glossy, which lets the hand-drawn foliage keep a soft, natural edge. Its green palette sits between sage and artichoke, with cooler blue-green notes inside the larger flower heads and warmer olive touches through the leaves and stems. The pale ground keeps the pattern open and readable, making the design feel refined rather than busy. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this cloth.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want a gentle hit of pattern without losing brightness: it would suit relaxed curtains, tailored cushions, or light upholstery in a room with timber and linen textures. The soft artichoke green works especially well with stone, oak, and chalky off-whites.

Pair with quiet neutrals and timber to let the hand-painted foliage take centre stage.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Artichoke Leaf Green without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
