Ashdown Yellow
Ashdown FabricF4837-03
Ashdown Yellow shows the Ashdown design on a soft parchment-yellow ground, with birds, butterflies and foliage drawn in gentle, airy colour. The overall effect is light and elegant rather than vivid, giving the print a quietly decorative feel.

About this fabric
This colourway is printed on a 60% Linen, 30% Cotton, 10% Polyamide cloth with an approximate width of 138cm and a large repeat of V 93cm / H 70cm. The ground reads as a warm parchment yellow, slightly muted and dusty rather than bright, which softens the greens in the branches and gives the blue birds and butterflies a crisp but not harsh contrast. The visible surface has the natural character you would expect from a linen-rich fabric, with enough body to suit both upholstery and drapery applications. With care code Q 8 : T 3 and fire code √BM, it offers a practical specification for a decorative interior fabric.
How to use it
Use Ashdown Yellow where you want a traditional pattern to feel lighter and more relaxed, especially against painted woodwork, pale stone, or antique timber. Its softened yellow ground works beautifully in rooms that need warmth without the intensity of a stronger gold.
A calm parchment-yellow ground that lets the birds and foliage stand out without feeling loud.

Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Ashdown Yellow without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
