Colefax and Fowler

Belgrove Pink/Green

Ashdown FabricF4832-03

Belgrove Pink/Green shows a painterly floral trail in soft pinks, leaf green and gentle blue accents on a warm natural ground. The branching motif gives the design a relaxed classic feel without losing its decorative impact.

About this fabric

This Colefax and Fowler fabric from the Ashdown collection is woven in a 60% linen, 30% cotton and 10% polyamide blend, with a width of approx. 141cm and a repeat of V 82cm / H 141cm approx. The cloth reads as a light, decorative textile rather than a heavy upholstery ground, with a visible linen-rich texture that keeps the flowers from feeling overly glossy or formal. In this pink/green colourway, the petals are fresh but slightly softened, with cooler blue highlights and natural brown stems giving the print a garden-like, hand-painted character. The overall effect is airy and refined, with enough presence for statement curtains, blinds or occasional upholstery where a lively floral is wanted.

How to use it

Use it to bring colour to a room with painted woodwork, pale upholstery or simple ticking stripes, letting the soft pinks and greens do the talking. It works especially well in light-filled sitting rooms or bedrooms where the large repeat can breathe across drapery or a feature chair.

A painterly floral with a light, elegant ground that suits refined upholstery or curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Belgrove Pink/Green without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
