About this fabric

Bampton Old Pink from Colefax and Fowler is woven in a 34% Linen, 28% Viscose, 22% Polyester, 16% Cotton blend, with a width of approximately 142cm and a repeat of V 12cm / H 36cm approx. In this colourway, the motif reads as a muted old pink with warm beige and ivory notes, so the pattern feels soft rather than high-contrast. The surface has the dry, cloth-like character you would expect from a linen-rich fabric, but the viscose and cotton help keep the design looking smoother and more polished. It is a versatile textile for upholstery or drapery, with enough structure for seating and enough elegance for curtains or blinds.

How to use it

Use it to bring a gentle antique pink into a room with chalky whites, pale woods or aged brass. It works especially well when you want pattern, but at a light enough register that it stays calm on larger pieces.

Lovely for tailored upholstery or elegant curtains where the warm blush tone can read softly rather than sugary.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
