About this fabric

Woven in a blend of 59% viscose, 25% linen, 11% cotton, 3% acrylic and 2% polyester, this fabric has a dry, tactile handle that suits a versatile mid-weight use. The repeat is approximately V 18cm by H 23cm, which creates a settled, regular rhythm across the cloth rather than a large-scale statement. In Baxter Red, the motif reads as a muted coral-red against a creamy beige ground, so the overall effect is warm, worn and easy to live with. With an approximate width of 142cm and care code Q 8 + T 3, it is a practical decorative fabric with enough body for either upholstery or drapery. The √BM fire code is also noted.

How to use it

Use it to warm up neutral upholstery, or to bring a subtle red note into curtains and loose covers. It works especially well with timber, linen, and stone-toned interiors where the softened red can read as rich rather than brash.

A lively small-scale animal print in a softened red that brings warmth without overpowering.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
