About this fabric

Woven in 100% silk, Genoa Red has a crisp, closely ribbed texture that catches the light in narrow vertical lines. The repeat is effectively plain at V 0cm / H 0.5cm approx, so the interest comes from the weave and the way this colour shifts between coral, rose and brick-red tones. At 138cm approx wide, it is suited to elegant drapery and light decorative use where the silk’s sheen can be appreciated. The red is warmed with a pinkish undertone, making it feel less formal than a deep crimson and more inviting in daylight. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are provided for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use this shade for tailored curtains, roman blinds or statement cushions where a warm red is wanted without heaviness. It pairs well with pale oak, chalky neutrals and deeper berry accents, letting the silk’s sheen bring depth to a calm room.

A refined silk with a warm coral-red glow that works beautifully for tailored curtains or decorative upholstery accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
