Vaughn Red is a richly patterned damask with a soft coral-red ground and a slightly lighter woven motif that lifts the design across the surface. The repeat reads clearly and generously, giving the fabric a traditional, decorative presence.

About this fabric

Woven in 87% Wool, 7% Polyamide and 6% Silk, this fabric has the touch and appearance of a refined upholstered cloth with a subtle lustre in the lighter pattern areas. The large-scale damask repeat, approximately V 64cm / H 32cm, creates an ornate scrolling rhythm that feels classic rather than busy. At approximately 127cm wide, it is well suited to statement curtains as well as smart upholstery pieces. The overall colour is a warm, muted red with coral and terracotta undertones, so the motif shows in gentle contrast rather than sharp definition. The result is elegant, layered and quietly opulent.

How to use it

Use Vaughn Red on a pair of formal curtains, a chaise or a set of dining chairs where the warm coral-red tone can glow in natural light. It pairs especially well with walnut timber, aged brass and soft neutral walls.

A warm coral-red damask that brings quiet richness to upholstery or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
