Hector Red

Hector FabricF4697-13

Hector Red shows a fine, tightly worked herringbone effect in a soft rose-red ground. The narrow vertical rhythm gives the cloth a calm, tailored look rather than a bold pattern read.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% linen, Hector Red is catalogued at approximately 139cm wide with a small vertical repeat of 2cm and no vertical repeat. The cloth has a crisp, lightly textured handle visible in the tight diagonal weave, which keeps the surface lively without looking heavy. This colourway reads as a muted rose red with a warm pinkish cast, so the pattern appears more tonal than contrasty. The fine stripe and herringbone movement make it versatile for either upholstery or drapery where a quieter decorative surface is wanted. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Hector Red on an occasional chair, bench or curtain to bring a warm, heritage note without overwhelming the room. It sits especially well with pale plaster, timber and soft neutrals, where the rose-red tone can glow.

Pair with oak, linen and worn leather for a warm, quietly tailored look.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
